About Prof. Thomas Römer
Prof. Römer is Full Professor and Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Cologne. He is also Head of the Endometriosis Excellence Centre Level 3 and Endoscopic Training Centre (the largest center in Germany). Since 2016, he has also been Guest Professor at Capital Medical University in Beijing, China.
Prof. Römer is a board member of the German Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy (President 2008–2009), a board member of the German Society of Menopause (Vice President since 2019), and a founding member of the European League of Endometriosis. His special interests include bleeding disorders, hysteroscopic and laparoscopic surgery, endometriosis, uterus malformations, endocrinology, and menopause. He has authored 35 monographs, 52 book chapters, and more than 350 publications.
