About Prof. Andrea Genazzani
Prof. Genazzani is based in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Pisa. He obtained his MD from the University of Siena and completed his residencies in gynecology and obstetrics and in endocrinology and metabolism disorders.
Prof. Genazzani is Founder, immediate past President, and Executive Director of The International Society of Gynecological Endocrinology; immediate past President of the European Society of Gynecology; President of The International Academy of Human Reproduction; past President of the International Menopause Society; Fellow ad eundem of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists; honorary Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists; foreign member of the Académie Royale de Médecine de Belgique; and honorary member of several national societies of gynecology, obstetrics, and endocrinology.
Prof. Genazzani was Editor-in-Chief of Gynecological Endocrinology from 1987–2019. He is Editor-in-Chief of Gynecological & Reproductive Endocrinology and Metabolism (since 2020), Editor of Frontiers in Gynecological Endocrinology (since 2014), a member of the Editorial Board of the European Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Reproductive Biology, and a member of the Editorial Board of several European and international journals. He is also the author of more than 865 papers in peer-reviewed journals and editor of more than 50 books.
