Dr. Carolina Sales Vieira
Dr. Vieira is a tenured Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Ribeirão Preto Medical School, University of São Paulo, in Brazil. She is an obstetrician-gynecologist specializing in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. Currently, she is Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and leads the institution’s contraception division.
Dr. Vieira is an active member of the Brazilian Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics Associations and serves on the advisory board of the Population Council's International Committee for Contraception Research in New York. She also contributes to the Brazilian government’s Guideline Development Group on policies for women living with HIV and preventing mother-to-child HIV transmission.
A reviewer for several medical journals, Dr. Vieira serves on the editorial board of Contraception. Her primary area of interest is contraception in all its aspects.
