About Dr. Anita Nelson
Dr. Nelson is Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Western University of Health Sciences and Professor Emeritus of Obstetrics and Gynecology at David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
Dr. Nelson has been Medical Director of the Research Division of Essential Access Health for three decades. There she has conducted nearly $70 million of research in women’s care for the National Institutes of Health, the Gates Foundation, and pharmaceutical companies. She has published nearly 300 articles for professional journals, hundreds of abstracts, and several chapters and books. She loves to teach and advocate for women’s health issues.
